Please bring a traditional family dish with a recipe card to go with it!

West Langley News
In the month of November our theme will be space and the planets! We will be making rockets, aliens, planets, and much more!!!!
Art:
In art, we will be making rocket ships, aliens, planets, and flying saucers!
Social Studies:
We will learn about the planets and the order they go in!
Math:
We are learning about size (big, medium, small), and length (long and short).
Gym Time:
We will be learning about the space our bodies take up, and about balance. We will be doing this through yoga
Scholastic Orders:
Scholastic orders will be due on Friday November 25th. Please make cheques out to Scholastic Canada Ltd.

Thursdays (3's) and Fridays (4's) are Show 'n' Tell days. Please bring 1 item from home beginning with the letter of the week. If Show 'n' Tell days fall on a Pro D Day, then Wednesday will be the alternate day.

Ready, Set, Learn: (held at our Topham Location only)
Ready, Set, Learn is an early learning program developed by the Ministry of Education, to provide parents/care givers useful information to help with their child's development. Each session will focus on a different area of early development such as Fine Motor, Numeracy, Literacy, Play etc. We are giving our KITG preschoolers priority to sign up for each session. Please hand in registrations forms by November 3rd. Please note there will be NO preschool on the days of Ready, Set, Learn.
ALL PROGRAMS - Child's Absence!
Reminder,
Parents it is very important to call the centre when your child will not be attending. If your child is due to attend but will be absent please notify staff. This is a licencing requirement. This applies to morning and afternoon attendance (ie if your child normally comes to the centre in the afternoon please contact us if your child will not be attending). Advising staff when your child will be picked up from class or absent prevents unnecessary panic and confusion for parents,staff and teachers. Calls should be directed to each location not the main KITG office.

LADIES NIGHT!
Ladies Night is about giving Entrepreneurs & Business Owners a chance to display their products and get their business name out into the communities! Networking:) Guests can enjoy some appetizers & drinks while viewing the products & mingling! No pressure to purchase; just an evening with the gals and away from the kids:)

We provide many events, activities and programs that reach out to the families of our facilities as well as; our communities!
*Ready Set Learn, (Ministry based) for children 3 & 4 years old and their parents/caregivers, sessions include focus on literacy and numeracy, story-telling, games, social responsibility, imaginative play and physical movement activities, book giveaways, etc. Parent participation is mandatory and only children registered can attend.
*Various field trips throughout the year coinciding with monthly Preschool Themes such as; Fire Hall ^ RCMP for Community Helpers Month, Science World for Science Week, Cinemazoo for Animals Week, Dentist for Teeth & Hygiene…
*Annual Charlotte Diamond Concert, to support her music and teaching methods; also raise money for BC Children's Hospital. (With my Son being born at 32 weeks weighing 2lbs. BC Children's helped in making him the healthy and happy 5 year old he is today!)
*Annual Ladies Night, evening welcoming any and all entrepreneurs/business owners to display a table of their business/products helping their business grow by networking! This year being such a huge success; we've expanded the idea into a website! Advertising & making their businesses well known to everyone!
*Annual Christmas Potluck, bringing all our staff and families together! Families bring a traditional dish to share with everyone; we do a recipe exchange! Recipes are then displayed on our website. Tables are set up with various activities, (decorating gingerbread men, arts & crafts).
*Preschool Graduation, welcoming parents and their families to watch their child graduate and move onto Kindergarten! Principals of our home schools join us, meeting their future students and families!
*Sports Day, our home schools invite us to join them in the Sports Day Festivities!
