Change your approach to Social Media



Walnut Grove Secondary School invites you to “Change your approach to Social Media” with Jesse Miller. Join us on Feb 29 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm to discuss the dangers Social Media presents and the precautions that you and your children can take to protect yourselves. This fabulous presentation will be held in our school library.

Childrens Wish - Princess Tea Party



 The Princess Tea Party will be an afternoon of everything princess – with some Pirate surprises for the boys.  It will be held on Saturday March 10th at The Coast Hotel & Convention Centre in Langley from 12-3:30.  There will be a Princess Parlour where princesses of all ages can receive their own royal makeovers, roving entertainment from Cirque Surrey, crafts, games, a photobooth, musicians, dancers and princesses galore.  We will also have some very special guests and high-tea will be served.

 100% of proceeds will go directly to granting the most heartfelt wishes of local kids with high-risk life-threatening illnesses.  We have granted many wishes to kids in the Langley area and a few of our families will be in attendance.  More information can be found at http://teaparty.wishmonth.ca


Pub Night Fundraiser and Silent Auction



The FiT Network is hosting a Pub Night Fundraiser and Silent Auction on Saturday, February 25th.

Arrive at Jimy Macs anytime from 6:00pm on and burgers and fries being served at 7:00pm. 

Tickets are $15 and come with a pint of draft beer and a burger and fries.

The Fraser Valley Fit Network Society www.fitnetworksociety.com is a non-profit social educational network dedicated to supporting families with special needs children in the Fraser Valley. We offer monthly FiT Meets where we bring in expert guests; FiT Family Events provides an opportunity for families to interact with other families and allows neuro-typical and children with special needs to connect in an inclusive, supportive environment; FiT Parent Events enable parents to connect and share their experiences as well as  support one another.

SPECIAL EVENTS & PROGRAMS



We provide many events, activities and programs that reach out to the families of our facilities as well as; our communities!

*Ready Set Learn, (Ministry based) for children 3 & 4 years old and their parents/caregivers, sessions include focus on literacy and numeracy, story-telling, games, social responsibility, imaginative play and physical movement activities, book giveaways, etc. Parent participation is mandatory and only children registered can attend.

*Various field tripsthroughout the year coinciding with monthly Preschool Themes such as; Fire Hall ^ RCMP for Community Helpers Month, Science World for Science Week, Cinemazoo for Animals Week, Dentist for Teeth & Hygiene�

*Annual Charlotte Diamond Concert, to support her music and teaching methods; also raise money for BC Children's Hospital. (With my Son being born at 32 weeks weighing 2lbs. BC Children's helped in making him the healthy and happy 5 year old he is today!)

*Annual Ladies Night, evening welcoming any and all entrepreneurs/business owners to display a table of their business/products helping their business grow by networking! This year being such a huge success; we've expanded the idea into a website! Advertising & making their businesses well known to everyone!

*Annual Christmas Potluck, bringing all our staff and families together! Families bring a traditional dish to share with everyone; we do a recipe exchange! Recipes are then displayed on our website. Tables are set up with various activities, (decorating gingerbread men, arts & crafts).

*Preschool Graduation, welcoming parents and their families to watch their child graduate and move onto Kindergarten! Principals of our home schools join us, meeting their future students and families!

*Sports Day,  our home schools invite us to join them in the Sports Day Festivities!
