Preschool Curriculum & Daycare
Our Preschool Curriculum is an important component to our center. Preschool prepares your child for Kindergarten! Our preschool program supports the Early Learning Framework using a wide variety of activities and key learning tools to aid in the learning process:
Language & Literacy - students learn how to write, pronounce and recognize letters of the alphabet by using songs & stories from a phonics program called Fun Family Phonics.
Physical Development - students use of their home schools playground for outdoor play.
Creativity - open ended art, dramatic play, and music is available to students throughout the day to help expand their minds, express their creative side, and use their imaginations!
Our Center also offers extended times to accommodate our families in need of daycare. It also gives your child and our staff the opportunity to spend more time together! Learning, playing, and lunch with their friends! Preschool Class first thing; lunch and the afternoon to explore some more!!!
Preschool Class:
Circle Time ( arrival/greeting, talk about the weather and calendar…) Fridays are Show 'n Tell!
Free Play (phonics, art table, crafts, science, sand/water, etc….)
Clean-Up of classroom and hands for snack!
Circle Time (music, story time, and songs)
Outdoor Play (if weather permitting)
Dismissal
*Dismissal is a very important time and great opportunity for all questions, concerns, discussions about your child. Upon drop off, our staff is focused on curriculum and the students; so there isn't time to chat. So, staff would love to take time with you, giving you their full attention at dismissal:
*To encourage healthy eating and learn more about nutrition; students are to bring a fruit of their choice every Friday to help us make our fruit salad:)
We encourage Parent Participation! If you are available to help with our classes and bond with the little ones; please let us know! We would love to have you:)
*Students are to bring nutricious peanut- free snacks, (also a lunch for those in our daycare), indoor shoes and a change of clothing. Please come dressed for all kinds of weather! We take the children outdoors rain, snow, or shine! Personalized Emergency Kits to prepare for any disasters/earthquakes. (Forms are available for downloading)
*Students must be toilet-trained however; the use of pull-ups is also accepted, as your child is on his/her way to toilet training! Again, please bring a change of clothes so as in case of an accident; your child can continue their stay & play in comfortable clothing:
